🌿 THE WILD HEART 🌿

Some things aren't meant to be tamed.
The Wild Heart is a one-of-a-kind 16-inch natural hair-on cow-hide drum, created around the markings already carried within the hide.
From its centre, brown and white markings spread outward in every direction, almost like roots, feathers, tracks or fragments of earth exploding from a single point.
Nothing has been painted onto its face.
Nature created the pattern, we simply allowed it to be seen.
Turn the drum over and its second story appears.
A naturally shaped Irish gorse wood handle runs through its centre, carrying all the knots, scars and character of the branch it came from. Set into the gorse is a beautiful turquoise coloured stone a small flash of blue amongst the earthy browns of the hide and wood.
Gorse survives on wild hillsides, exposed ground and harsh landscapes. For us, it represents resilience, protection and the determination to keep growing.

Cow hide brings the earth, Gorse brings the wild land and that single blue stone brings the sky.
Together they became The Wild Heart.
