Born from an unusual moment at the ancient Grange Stone Circle at Lough Gur, this buffalo hide was tied and immersed in black dye before the great standing stone. When the bindings were released, an extraordinary landscape of shadows, branching forms and hidden figures had emerged across the skin.
Now stretched over an 18-inch rosewood frame, The Grange Guardian carries a deep, powerful voice and a completely unique pattern that can never be recreated.
A drum inspired by an ancient place earth, shadow, stone and spirit brought together in one piece.
